  • Coin-reactive ink turns grey when rubbed with a coin
  • Change is permanent

Thermochromatic:

  • Thermochromatic ink will change color when exposed to heat (e.g., after a finger rubs on the ink)
  • Specific temperature ranges are available, from 41°F to 149°F
  • Color changes are not permanent and return to normal in ambient temperature
  • Color can change from one color to another, from transparent to color, or from color to transparent

Thermosecure:

  • Thermosecure ink will change color when rubbed
  • Color change is permanent

UV Ink: 

  • UV ink will change color when exposed to UV light
  • Change is not permanent and will return to normal when no longer exposed to UV light
  • Colored or transparent ink available

Watermark:

  • Faint imprints that can only be seen at a specific angle
