Check the 80 mm configuration and paper thickness
Star specifies 80/58 mm paper-width configurations, an 83 mm maximum roll diameter and 0.053–0.085 mm paper thickness. Select the 80 mm configuration for these 3 1/8-inch products. MediaJab’s BPA-free 200 ft rolls measure 64 mm outside diameter at 48 gsm or 67 mm at 55 gsm. Confirm actual caliper for the chosen grade; GSM does not prove compliance with the thickness range. Confirm the full model, configured paper width, permitted diameter, centre requirements and actual paper thickness. A 2 1/4-inch width is about 57.2 mm; 3 1/8 inches is about 79.4 mm. The 58 and 80 mm categories are common nominal descriptions: follow the manufacturer’s tolerances. For a multi-location purchase, validate a roll on the installed equipment before standardizing the order.
