Box of 6 purple nylon ERC34/38-compatible ribbon cassettes for impact printers using the corresponding reference. These are compatible replacement ribbons, not genuine Epson products.

Compatible equipment and references

Epson documentation specifies ERC38 ribbons for the models below. The match to this product is based on its declared replacement reference; it is not Epson certification or an individual test of each printer.

Check the installed cassette reference and required ink colour before ordering. An ERC30/34/38 designation does not mean the ribbon fits every Epson printer. Star SP700, SP712 and SP742 use a different cassette (RC700 family) and must not use this ribbon.

Pair the ribbon with paper accepted by your printer. Check roll dimensions, core and paper thickness.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a paper roll?

No. This is a cassette containing an inked ribbon. Paper width, roll diameter and core size are not specifications of this product.

Can I use this in a thermal printer?

No. This ribbon is for impact printing. A direct thermal printer uses thermal paper and does not use this type of cassette.

Are the two ink colours interchangeable?

Choose the colour required by your printer and workflow. Purple provides one ink colour; black/red provides two colours only where supported by the printer and its configuration.
